Quick Guide to Pomp & Pampering in Byron Bay

Where can you discover and prolong your pomp & pampering when staying in Bryon Bay? Here’s HiP’s quick guide of how to spend the perfect day of indulgence, when visiting this remarkable little town, no matter what time of year. Your first port of call is caravan hire Byron Bay! Your second, is to hire a HiP caravan; and choosing the ‘set-up & stay’ hire option, rock up at Clarkes Beach Holiday Park with your clothes, food and that special bottle of bubbles. Everything is set-up for you, even your beds are ready and waiting!

Choose from our funky range of vans: The Glamper (a camper trailer hire van that sleeps up to 5); The Brady (a pop-top expander, which aptly named, sleeps 6); through to The Luxloung, (another pop-top caravan which provides luscious accommodation for 2).

Wake in the morning to the sound and smell of the surf; switch-on the espresso machine and savor the taste and aroma of that first real coffee of the day – heaven!

Breakfast À la carte?  No problem – a short 2 minute stroll along the beach to the fabulous Byron Beach Café, with its “absolute beachfront location,” and wake up your taste buds with a delicious choice of breakies.

Wake-up the rest of your body with an invigorating walk up to The Cape Byron Lighthouse -breathtaking views and a jolt to the spirit, amongst some of sensations to be experienced.  Nothing could fail to ignite all the senses like this hour or so return walk.

Having successfully stimulated all five of the senses (or should we say, six?) – on the return walk, stop and further replenish your spirit with a fresh juice at The Pass Café, before eventually heading out of town, and on to have that compulsory spa treatment, at The Byron at Byron.

Spoilt for choice, as we are here in Byron, depending on the call of your pallet, either have a delicious lunch, alfresco, at The Byron at Byron, or drop in to Rae’s on Wategos beach and sample the harvest of the seas.  Neither will disappoint.

Spot of shopping now I think, don’t you?  Well, without exhausting the myriad of possibilities that Byron has to offer, if you’re looking for something funky, cool and expensive you’ll find it at Island Luxe – which is perfectly situated next to the laid back elegance of Targa, where you can sit down and enjoy a coffee along with Byron’s uber cool locals.  How about something ‘sophisticated and playful’?  Then try a fabulous line on swim wear, and surf wear to die for, from ‘Muther of All Things’ – welcome to shopping heaven!

No day in Byron would be complete without a visit to one of the beautiful Byron Bay beaches.  Not more than 5 minutes walk from Targa, if you’re lucky, you’ll find yourself in the company of dolphins as you share their surf or just sit back and digest the awesome view.

Back to the luscious comfort of your HiP van – re-fresh, change, relax before heading out for a sunset cocktail at The Balcony, followed by dinner at The Italian (assuming of course, you still believe you’ll fit into your bathers the next morning!)

Finally, take a gentle stroll back along the beach in the late evening and snuggle up in your van, fully prepared for a wonderful, rejuvenating, nights, sleep…

Any questions?!
